The Eurasian Week is the largest international business forum in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

Since 2016, the forum has been held annually in the capitals of the EAEU countries. In 2019, the Forum will be hosted by Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic. The Forum’s participants and guests have a unique opportunity to work at Ala-Archa, State Residence No. 1, where the most important economic and political events of the country take place.

The Forum aims at sharing the opportunities and potential of the EAEU countries on an international scale to develop a methodology and to build up the global economy. The Forum represents a platform for developing direct B2B contacts and engaging third-country companies as prospective consumers and investors to create competitive and export-oriented products.

In 2019, the Forum focuses on summarizing the results of the first five years of the interaction between the Eurasian Economic Union and the global community. Workshops will be dedicated to defining vectors of further development, analyzing implemented cases, mechanisms planned and developed, as well as to identifying integration points of growth.

An exhibition with a primary focus on solving practical economic tasks related to integration is another highlight of the Forum. Not only companies wishing to demonstrate their achievements, but also those in search for specific business solutions are invited to participate in the exhibition. The Eurasian Week is a real venue for solving common tasks.

First-hand information on the EAEU’s future Workshops are aimed at developing a methodology that is already in use or will be used in the near future. A live dialogue will allow getting involved in the discourse.

Learn more about the EAEU advantages During B2B workshops, you can discuss the ins and outs of doing business within the EAEU countries and related advantages; real-life cases will be presented from different spheres and forms of ownership, from small to large businesses.

Stimulate exports and investment The exhibition traditionally attracts a large number of real sector companies from third countries. Foreign participants have been invited with the aim of developing export capacities and creating grounds for direct B2B interaction.

Find a subcontractor The agenda provides for industry subcontractor exchanges. The format is aimed at developing first-hand B2B interaction between companies from the EAEU member states and third countries, interested in prospective cooperation.

Expand business presence For a long time, Bishkek has been a mediator between the EAEU countries and Greater Asia. Participation in the forum will allow the attendees from all the countries to continue building the modern Great Silk Road of economic cooperation on the macroeconomy level.

Traditionally, the Forum agenda includes three sections

AGENDA

Strategy
expert discussions, methodological grounds and mechanisms of doing business in the EAEU.

Business
direct interaction between large enterprises and small business in the EAEU and third countries.

Society
interaction between the state and business, development of institutions, shaping the image of the future.

EXHIBITION

In 2019, the exhibition of the Forum will for the first time be dedicated to agriculture and related industries. However, its purpose is to show the usual industry from an unusual angle: through the use of new technologies, the development of production and logistics systems, industry investments, the use of modern energy systems, etc.

Exhibitors will be able to share their achievements on a large scale, under the comfortable conditions and within formats specifically tailored for the closest contact and communication of participants and the formation of new business models of international cooperation.

If you are interested in raising investment for your projects, seeking subcontractors and partners for cooperation, in trading without extra logistics challenges and customs costs; if you need new suppliers of materials and equipment that are as good as those of your foreign counterparts, please attend the exhibition of EAEU-based enterprises held during the Eurasian Week.

ABOUT BISHKEK

ABOUT BISHKEK

The ancient settlement of Djul or Sula as it is called in the Chinese Chronicles. First mentioned in the 5th-6th centuries A.D. Bishkek is a relatively young city. In 2018, it celebrated 140 years since its foundation. Bishkek takes the baton of the Eurasian Week over from Yerevan, which continues the centuries-old friendship of these states. Peoples’ friendship is symbolized by a chime tower in the down town of Bishkek, an Armenian gift to Kyrgyzstan as a sign of friendship between the two nations. Since 2013, the citizens have been listening to a new chiming clock, announcing the onset of a new hour and sounding in a new way, with the national Kyrgyz flavor.

There are two versions of how the modern name of Bishkek appeared: some sources claim that the city was named after one of the forty bravest warriors of Manas, others say, it is a name of a special wooden spoon ancient people used for preparing kumys, a symbol of the ancient nomadic Kyrgyz.

Due to its architectural features, the city is always full of fresh mountain air. In addition, it is one of the greenest post-Soviet capitals with as many as 7 squares of plantations per one resident. The city is located in the North of Kyrgyzstan, in the picturesque Chui Valley, near the Tien Shan foothills, 260 km away from Lake Issyk-Kul. The country's nature is truly fascinating in its beauty and is worth the time required for its exploration. The Ala-Archa suburban nature reserve in Kyrgyz means “motley archa.” Archa is the local name for juniper. The gorge got its name because of the abundant juniper thickets covering its slopes. Numerous varieties of juniper, which grows in the gorge and differs in color, make it look like a picture painted by an artist. There are steppes and mountain forests, home to more than 600 species of higher plants, including 70 species of trees and shrubs, about 50 species of medicinal herbs, a lot of nectariferous plants and tannins. The reserve has roads and trails. The main attractions are a glacier and Ak-Say Waterfalls. With its 150 trails, the gorge is very popular with tourists. Lake Issyk-Kul ranks among the world’s 30 largest lakes and the seventh on the list of the deepest lakes. As a legend puts it, Santash (“counting stones”), the name of the pass eastward of Lake Issyk-Kul, is part of Tamerlan’s legacy.
